CENTRAL COUNCIL


The Central Council of Magistrates? Courts Committees, of which all 42 MCCs in England and Wales are members, represents Committees in discussions with Government and other organisations.

The Council was formed in 1952 to act as a forum to discuss common concerns and responsibilities, and to protect and further the interests of individual Committees.

The Council, including Justices? Chief Executives as Associate Members, takes the lead in representing the management of magistrates? courts. This is achieved by:
